What should we talk about?

So.

The Suns are stinking fantastic.

Rosie is leaving the View.

We stayed up way too late last night watching "Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room" on PBS about the demise of that company and the evilness of the people who ran it.

I am fascinated that my baby wakes up at the exact same time every morning, almost to the minute, to eat. 4:55. How does she know? What is the name of the science that studies "body clocks?"

The DOW hit 13,000.

McCain is announcing his bid.

Maybe I'll elaborate on these topics at a later time. Well, not Rosie. Who cares? The other topics.

I need some elaboration on the Rosie thing. Is she being forced out? What's the story?

I have something to talk about! I kind of missed the boat on commenting on your last post, so I'll comment now. I just have to say that we need more people like you in the world KEEPIN' IT REAL. I definitely have days like you described-- way too many that I want to own up to. I'm glad that you are self-confident enough to admit to what most of us do. . . but that we are too proud to admit that we do. . .

You rock, Emily, you rock.

I've always been fascinated that Mom has NEVER needed an alarm clock. She knows what time she needs to wake up the next morning, and her body follows suit. Amazing.

I love Nora's body clock..wakes you early enough that you can still go back to sleep! She's a smart lil baby!

I guess that's if you wake at 7:30 like me.

I have been dying to see Smartest Guys for a couple years now and haven't ever gotten around to it. I'm hoping my PBS affiliate will air it as well. The story is just incredible. As much as the Sarb-Ox Act has been a pain in the neck since the fall, you can understand why we need to prevent that kind of evil from happening again.

Also I was very interested in the Tillman testimony before a House oversight committee that aired on C-SPAN last night. I am making you a cd. Possibly 2. You may be referring to an aspect of chronobiology.

Sarah, I think ABC wouldn't give her enough money. Everyone's driven by greed nowadays, dintcha know?

Erica, thanks for joining in! I kept thinking "Cicadian rhythm" this morning at 4:55 when I was thinking about this, but thought, "No, those are insects." Now I know!

Alyssa, that was a nice thing to say. Thanks! I think that "keeping it real" might be a talent I do have, which is to say, I provide a standard of sub-excellence to which others can look and feel good about themselves. I am actually kind of proud of this talent, so fishing for "No, you're not." I am approachable. I keep it real.

Abby, seriously!

Christen, oh yeah, I go back to sleep!

Azucar, are you an accountant? My husband's work is also associated with Sarbanes-Oxley: his firm sues the fraud perpetrators in cases like Enron. It's kind of a conversation killer when we meet accountants and whatnot. The movie was good. Also depressing and a little manipulative. But it does a good job painting Jeffrey Skilling and Andy Fastow as the villains. Steve said he wishes he could send the movie to every juror in cases he works on, to make them angry at big business.

Diana, that was interesting! Usually, I don't have the patience for C-SPAN. I like to get the sumamry of what happened later. It is aggravating that the government lies to us, ever.

That's: so I'm not fishing for. . . .

I just work in a business that has to jump through all kinds of hoops to meet Sarb-Ox compliance. I understand why the changes in the law were necessary, but complying with them is a real pain in the butt.

Hmm, interesting thoughts there, Emily. Thanks for joining up as my Netflix friend, I was a little worried I only had 38% movie compatibility w/ my sis-in-law but at least it's a little higher w/ you. Apparently I am babysitting L on Friday, don't ask me how that works since we live in different states! Have a good day.

Go Suns, btw.

Nash's hair is still really ugly. Can someone out there please help him to escape the eighties.

Claire, I dreamed about you babysitting L from another state.

Amy, I have two words: sour grapes.

how do you sign up to be netflix buddies?

I found your blog through CJane. I thought I better de-lurk and tell you I'm a fan of your blog, therefore I'm putting myself on your netflix friends list. Isn't blogging fun? Instant friends!

Awesome, Chelle! Did it work?

Hi Emily,

It has been a long time since I visited your blog..that doesn't seem cool because aren't you the original blogger? At least from my perspective. I believe you are talking about circadian rythm. I am almost everyday at 6:23a.m. That is pretty cool. But if you go on a cruise for 10 days without your kids, you see that everyday that rythm gets later and later!!

I don't have much against Rosie, but the whole View thing is boring.

As far as mundane chores, you seem to be just like most every other normie. My philosphy is we as women really know when it has to be done and then it gets done - so enjoy your blogging and waiting for emails and sonic - what if you were unable to do that tomorrow?
