Cristo XXVI (Gray)

We went for a walk this afternoon to deliver some cookies to neighbors, and ended up with some new artwork, our first J. Kirk Richards original. It's tiny and beautifully framed and we are really excited.

Why, thank you, Mrs. ACMT. I like Arizona sunshine and I like you. What is your blog address while we're at it?

emily- love the picture.
Love love love it!!! And just think - if you weren't in the Provo scene . . . And now I know of this great artist too!! Will you keep an eye out for more like this for me?

It's a beautiful painting. You have some talented neighbors up there, for sure.

Michelle, he is the artist I was thinking about when we were looking at your big empty walls in your living room the first time we toured your house. He just had a show this weekend of his series of 40 Small Christ Portraits and I'm sure some are still available. They are very affordable, as evidenced by us being able to get one. But, I think you and M should come down and have dinner with us and we'll introduce you to him so you can see some of his other (gorgeous) work.

Also, I know it was horrible of me to rag on Provo because I probably offended some friends. I do love it here, 98% of the time at least, and even when I am burned out on some aspect of the culture or weather, I always love my friends and neighbors, so forgive me for my depressive state last week and wallowing in the 2%.

Beautiful painting, Emily! Oh, to live in such tree lined streets, with such views and such neighbors. I especially love Mr. Richards "Every Knee Shall Bow." Beautiful :)

And if we ever move to Provo I want to be one of your neighbors too :)

Is he wearing sunglasses?
