A trifecta of the week's events

I'm in Washington state, where the Burgerville burgers are fantastic and the trees are abundant. It is beautiful here. There was some question about whether we would ever actually arrive, after we boarded a plane, deboarded, waited, got on another plane, took off, flew for almost an hour, turned back to Phoenix, deboarded yet again, and got onto a third plane. We had arrived at the airport for our original departure at 6 pm and didn't (really) leave until 11:30. AHHH! Arrival in Portland: 2:30 am.

This week was also memorable because I made some delightful new friends, whom I can't stop talking about. And, I acquired an abrasion on my cornea, which made light the enemy for far too long, and made me, once again, grateful for eyesight, which I shall not be taking for granted for a long time to come.

Soon I will revisit the blogging habit, and write something of significance.

Didn't you have a similar airplane experience trying to get from San Fran to London? I'm so sorry. Glad you're having such a fun getaway!

Totally unrelated to your post. . . but have you found out the gender of your baby yet? (That is, if you are, in fact, planning to find out. . .)

No, I haven't found out yet. Of course I will tell you, though, when I do. The ultrasound is scheduled for the end of this month. What about you, new mother-to-be? What's the baby news?

Uhhh.... CALL ME! Can we get together this week? Please???! Do you need my number?
I think my husband is in love...
with your husband.
You are so smart and delightful.
Even when you throw up in your eye.
(Thanks for dinner -again.)

P.S. Tell Sarah I bought her shirt at the Old Navy. ALSO, tell her to wear it on Tuesdays and I will do the same.

My dearest Suzie Petunia, I am a rotter of the rotterest variety. Our trip was short, and the itinerary long, and I thought of you so so much while I was there, but I'm home again. I'm sorry! I thought maybe I could have you meet us for shopping in the Pearl District on Saturday, but I never got organized enough to plan it. It's not because I didn't want to see you. Will you forgive me? Trust me, you are still my favorite thing in all of Oregon, and I will come again, just to see you. (I did this to Amy once, too, right after I lectured everyone for coming to Arizona and not calling me.) Really, please forgive me.

Courtney, Steve's words: "Chris and I really hit it off" or was it "we connected"? Anyway, I think S thinks fondly of C each night while he is reading Mark Halprin and LOLing. How fun to have new friends...who like us, too!

Your new website screems GO VIRGINIA TECH! I love it. (not that I went there or anything, I mean BYU is still better, it is just that I have to see all the games so I know the colors well and I LIKE THEM TOO)

Don't worry, Emily. I know I'm still your favoritest in all the world. :) Next time!
