Time to pull out the shrubs

I am so humbled and grateful that a few minutes ago when Isaac went flying down the driveway on his bike without a helmet and slammed into the moving mail truck and fell off and rolled in the street, that it was his bicycle seat and not his head that was crushed under the tires; that both he and the mailman were terribly shaken and scared, but no one was hurt.

I'm unbelievably grateful for that.

I am super super grateful too. I just heard about it from your mom when I called her to ask why your phone is always off when I call you because I had just tried to call you about photos of Isaac et al. Did I give you pictures of the boys last year?

A little gift for all those prayers his mama says on his behalf I'm sure. Glad all are safe. Did you give him a big hug, scold him and give him another big hug?

So freakin' scary! That's the kind of thing that scares me more after the fact when I dwell on the what could've happened....Like the time when David as a baby crawled to the ironing board and trying to use it to stand knocked a heavy, burning hot iron off of it to fall flat on the carpet two inches away from his little bald head! Though it was on the floor for a couple of seconds it melted it and left a burned mark. Freaks me out to think about it!
